Your sofa is the perfect guide for choosing a rug size: ideally, the rug will sit entirely (or under the front legs) of each piece in the suite.

Choose a rug that sits under your whole bed, or half of it. Alternatively, opt for bedside runners for added cosiness.

Shown with a 180x200 cm sized bed.
The shape and size of your dining table will determine which size rug to choose – opt for one that fits underneath comfortably.

Choosing a colour
The overall palette of your interior scheme is the best place to start when choosing a rug colour. Go for neutrals and lighter hues to ground the space and create a sense of harmony, or opt for completely contrasting tones for a unique splash of style.
Choosing a rug height
Whether high-pile or flatweave, rug height matters. Shaggier, high-pile rugs are ideal for areas where you want plush softness underfoot, like the bedroom. Low-pile or flatweave rugs fit perfectly under dining tables, allowing dining chairs to move easily.

Naturally pure materials
Warp, weft and pile
Warp, weft and pile
Each rug is made up of different yarns, woven together to create both structure and pattern. The warp is the vertically-woven yarn that forms the structural base of the rug, and is made with strong and durable materials. The weft is woven horizontally and forms the patterns and body of the rug. Alternatively, tufted rugs are made using a woven base shot through with pile yarn using a tufting gun; the remaining loops are then cut to create a cut pile rug, or left alone to create a looped pile rug.

How we source
We value local cultures’ knowledge of crafting techniques, so we source our rugs directly from the communities that produce them. We work closely with our manufacturers to ensure that our rugs are made to the highest possible standards in fair and ethical conditions, using only the finest natural fibres.
Our craftspeople
We work in tandem with some of India’s most skilled local craftspeople to design and weave timeless, made-to-last rugs. It’s the close relationship our team maintains with our manufacturers, and regular in-person visits to their workplaces, that ensures every single rug is truly made with love.
Certificates
It is important to us that our rugs meet certain certification requirements when it comes to the way they are sourced and crafted, so we work with numerous certification bodies to ensure every piece we produce is of the highest standard. This includes Care & Fair, which ensures fair conditions for workers and that no child labour is used in the making of our rugs.
Weaving techniques & time
Our highly skilled craftspeople are experts in the industry, so our rugs are woven using tried-and-tested traditional techniques, either by hand or in a pit loom, and it often takes up to three craftspeople and many hours per single piece.

Caring for your rug
Caring for your rug
Making sure your rug stays good-as-new for a long time is easy – regularly vacuuming your rug will get rid of any dirt and dust trapped in the fibres, and we suggest spot cleaning stains as they occur. For any serious cleaning, we always recommend contacting a rug cleaning professional. Wool rugs will shed lint naturally, which can be managed through regular vacuuming. To keep your rug from slipping out of place, you can order one of our special rug underlays.
